Queensberry Wedding Albums

Queensberry Wedding Albums

The wedding season just been was my first time upgrading and investing in Queensberry products for my wedding clients.  I decided to offer both their digital and more traditional pagemount wedding albums and have been absolutely blown away by the results, so too have my clients.  Their albums are just stunning and are handcrafted to perfection, built to last!  With their service they also provide album building software, Photojunction, and now there’s a really easy way to upload the final album layouts so they are viewable online to send to your clients through...

Catherine & Marcus’s Wedding

Catherine & Marcus’s Wedding

Catherine and Marcus were married up at Boomrock in Ohariu Valley on Friday 26th March 2010.  A beautiful bright sunny day meant they could enjoy an outdoor ceremony to really make the most of the stunning location and views over the coast and Catherine and the girls got to enjoy their dramatic helicopter entrance.   It was really fun photographing Catherine and Marcus and their bridal party – Justine provided a lovely picnic with drinks and nibbles to keep everyone going throughout. Lots of laughs were had and with everyone not taking things too seriously we got...

Mieke & Kieran’s Wedding

Mieke & Kieran’s Wedding

Mieke and Kieran were married at St Joseph’s Church in Pauatahanui, a lovely little intimate wooden church (in fact so little it was a very snug fit once everyone was in) and then went on to celebrate their reception at Gear Homestead in Porirua.  It was one of those few beautiful calm Wellington days which meant the only thing we had to compete with was the bright sunlight for a change (which no one can really complain about .  Gear is great for photos, so many options available all within the one area. The Homestead offers a blend of elegance, history, privacy...

Clare & Jon – 20.02.10

Clare & Jon – 20.02.10

Clare & Jon are another couple who have come all the way back from Sydney to get married here in their home town.  They were married at St Mary of the Angel’s church and went on to have their bridal photos around Wellington’s typical iconic cityscape, finishing with their reception at Icon, Te Papa.  Starting out with photos at the Parliament buildings, we then walked over civic square having photos along the way.  This included backdrops of architecture, cityscape, waterfront etc, I think we pretty much had Wellington covered. It was interesting making...

Anna & Rehua – 12th February 2010

Anna & Rehua – 12th February

Anna & Rehua traveled from Sydney to come back to their hometown of Wellington for their wedding.  Unfortunately Wellington couldn’t compete with the summer they have been experiencing in Australia, but it did hold back on the rain for the duration of their wedding which meant they were able to get outside and get those kiwiana outdoor locations they had wanted.  We spent all of our photo time at Otari Wilton’s Bush and in my opinion, this setting is perfect to capture that typical native, clean, green NZ scene.  I really like Otari as a photo location...

Outbreaks of rain, fresh southerlies, 13 degrees

Outbreaks of rain, fresh southerlies, 13

Sounds like a another beautiful day to be getting married in Wellington. In typical Wellington fashion anyone could be forgiven for thinking Rebecca and Colin were getting married in the middle of winter! They got married on Saturday 23rd Jan at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Thorndon, Wellington and then had their bridal party photos at the Wellington Parliament buildings (which was their wet weather back up plan).  When I left Wellington in the early afternoon it was raining so hard that the roads were flooding, however on arrival in Lower Hutt for Rebecca’s...

Back to Reality

Back to Reality

Well I’m now back from Rarotonga and straight back into more weddings.  Rarotonga was just the summer holiday I needed, getting in my fair dose of sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and not to mention the heat.  Raro was nothing but relaxation and hanging out on Muri beach was just bliss.  Ruth and Martin’s wedding took place right outside their Resort (The Pacific Resort) on the beach and it was a lovely intimate affair.  Both Ruth and Martin looked the part – Ruth adorned with the island’s frangapani flowers in her hair and bouquet and...

Shelly & Hamish’s Wedding

Shelly & Hamish’s Wedding

My first wedding for 2010 and back from the Christmas break was with Shelly and Hamish at The Boatshed in Wellington on  Tuesday.  These guys went for the not so traditional format of having their bridal party photographs before the ceremony which meant more time spent with their 170 guests after their Maori ceremony and into the reception.  Luckily Wellington’s weather held out (as it had been pretty yuk in the days prior) and we all got fairly warm standing out in the sun which made for some beautiful light during photos.  Shelly and Hamish really weren’t...
