Charlotte & Ritchie had their wedding over 2 days on Easter weekend. Day 1 was a traditional Indian Sikh wedding ceremony held at the Sikh Temple in Porirua. I was really excited to photograph this – looking forward to all the bright colour, traditional costumes and decorative details. I really enjoyed being a part of the customs and being completely welcomed into their cultural day. Everyone was so inviting and friendly and happy to have me there taking part in this celebration with them.
Day 2 included a christian ceremony at the Tawa Union Church followed by a reception party up at Boomrock. A beautiful day but boy was it windy up at Boomrock! So much so that the girls in heels were finding it hard to stand in one position without being blown over! Windiest wedding thus far, but everyone did a great job of seeing it through to get some great shots.
