Karen & Mike’s Wedding

This Saturday just been took me over the hill again, this time for Karen & Mike’s wedding in Carterton.  These guys were fortunate enough to get the good weather meaning their outdoor ceremony could go ahead as planned in the Awaiti Gardens.  A beautiful setting overlooking the garden’s pond, greenery and flowers was where Karen and Mike exchanged their vows under the sun.  In Awaiti we were absolutely spoilt for options when it came to photo locations and our time was spent on site throughout the different areas of the garden.  What I found really great about Karen and Mike’s wedding is that they allowed plenty of time for everything to happen. Even though the ceremony started 20 minutes late, we still had plenty of time at the other end to allow for them to take it all in, relax and not have to be rushed or stressed about getting into photos.  This meant the event was completely stress free and we all had a lot of fun with photos and enjoyed the time together, so much so that by the end of it everyone had sore cheeks from smiling and laughing so much and I was satisfied that I had got some great shots.  It was obvious that Karen and Mike are completely in love and this showed through, you could see they were very happy being in each others company.  Karen’s can do attitude meant she really wasn’t phased with what needed to happen for her day to be a success and would willingly trapse through mud or stand in the rain if required for her wedding day to go ahead as planned.
