Mieke and Kieran were married at St Joseph’s Church in Pauatahanui, a lovely little intimate wooden church (in fact so little it was a very snug fit once everyone was in) and then went on to celebrate their reception at Gear Homestead in Porirua. It was one of those few beautiful calm Wellington days which meant the only thing we had to compete with was the bright sunlight for a change (which no one can really complain about 
. Gear is great for photos, so many options available all within the one area. The Homestead offers a blend of elegance, history, privacy and practicality. It’s well sheltered from the wind and has numerous different gardens/lawns as well as great views of Porirua harbour, old rustic sheds, a long winding driveway set amongst native forestry and much more. Mieke and Kieran’s wedding was a lovely relaxed intimate affair which everyone enjoyed and had a lot of fun with it.
