Outbreaks of rain, fresh southerlies, 13 degrees

Sounds like a another beautiful day to be getting married in Wellington. In typical Wellington fashion anyone could be forgiven for thinking Rebecca and Colin were getting married in the middle of winter! They got married on Saturday 23rd Jan at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Thorndon, Wellington and then had their bridal party photos at the Wellington Parliament buildings (which was their wet weather back up plan).  When I left Wellington in the early afternoon it was raining so hard that the roads were flooding, however on arrival in Lower Hutt for Rebecca’s pre-wedding shoot it was no where near as bad, and when we came back into town the rain had eased and stayed away for the duration of the photos. Phew!  So it really ended up being almost perfect photo conditions (except for the wind) but again it is Wellington after all, and what would Wellington be without the wind.  Rebecca and Colin had a lovely day and were both really happy that their wedding could take place as planned without being interrupted by the weather.
