My first wedding for 2010 and back from the Christmas break was with Shelly and Hamish at The Boatshed in Wellington on Tuesday. These guys went for the not so traditional format of having their bridal party photographs before the ceremony which meant more time spent with their 170 guests after their Maori ceremony and into the reception. Luckily Wellington’s weather held out (as it had been pretty yuk in the days prior) and we all got fairly warm standing out in the sun which made for some beautiful light during photos. Shelly and Hamish really weren’t looking forward to having to have their photos taken and admittedly felt quite awkward in front of the camera, but you would never know it looking at their photos! They all looked stunning and did really well to pull it off even in front of an audience made up of nosey bystanders wandering the Wellington Waterfront.
