About Hiring Erin as your Wedding Photographer

What sets you apart? I take a reasonably simplistic approach to wedding photography; I work alone (sometimes with an assistant), I work with mainly natural lighting, I provide uncomplicated package options with no hidden costs.  I work with couples who understand the value of professional wedding photography but don’t need a coverage or package with all the extra bells and whistles and add ons.  I offer a personalised service where you will always be dealing with me – one on one - and I complete your full wedding photography experience from our first meeting together to handing over your final product.  From start to finish I follow a relatively informal but refined process of meeting, talking, the shoot itself, development of your photos through to the final product.

Can we rely on your service?  Of course!  I haven’t yet been in a situation where I wasn’t able to attend a wedding due to sickness or any other reason.  However I do have a resource of other photographers to call upon should a situation like this occur.  I always have back up equipment at the ready should any of my equipment happen to fail on the day {touch wood}.  I choose not to photograph more than one wedding a day and am happy to work with any pre-booked vendors you have already found to suit your day.  Part of my service includes providing you with photography planning tips and working with you to assist you in your schedule for the day to ensure we have plenty of time up our sleeves.  This allows us to focus on the aspects most important to you to have captured in your photos.  I always do my research beforehand and make sure I know the venue prior to the day and know how to get there and how long it takes.

My Photographic Approach… My shooting style is casual and relaxed.  I aim to be unobtrusive without interrupting the flow of events on the day.  I encourage fun, love, laughter and happiness.  I shoot it as it happens and like to keep things natural with some direction where needed. While I believe that your wedding day does not revolve around the photo shoot, I do think that this is a very big part of your day. These are the photos you will cherish forever, so I like to allow adequate time for your personal bridal photographs.  This time should be spent having fun!  I am a happy go lucky person and I want this to rub off on you also.  Working with me we will get a variety of different shots and scenes ideally without being rushed and pressed for time.  I like to work in a relatively informal, relaxed and casual fashion meaning a ‘no stress’ environment.  Achieving your ideal photos is a combined effort between you and me, as your Photographer, you will get out of it what you put into it.
